Fake Samsung Brazil pages ask for a PIX fee to release an order or a gift card
Who may be targeted: People in Brazil who have bought something recently, or believe they have, and are sent a link about an order, a delivery fee or a cashback balance.
What we are seeing
A site using Samsung's name asks for your CPF, then shows an order or a cashback balance waiting for you. To release it you must pay a small fee by PIX: R$ 97,00 for a delivery, R$ 7,36 for a gift card. Nothing arrives. Check any order in the shop's own app instead.
Warning signs
- The web address is samsungentrega[.]com. Samsung's own site is samsung.com.
- You are asked to pay a fee to receive something you are told is already yours: R$ 97,00 to release a delivery, or R$ 7,36 to send a gift card.
- The page warns that not paying will delay your parcel.
- The payment screen runs a 15 minute countdown, so there is no time to check.
- The page tells you it is safe. It says "Compra 100% segura" and "Ambiente protegido".
- The footer is copied from Samsung, but every link in it goes nowhere.
